Fatal Fury 2: The New Battle

Andy, Joe and Mai all head to a Japanese airport and discuss what they are going to do. Andy is going with Mai to Germany to find out any more information on Krauser, whilst Joe says that he is going to America to try and find Terry. He isn't that happy about Mai being paired with Andy as she's acting like they've just gotten married but she assures him that this front is just for camouflage. As Joe continues to state his displeasure, a young girl appears behind him and gives him a letter.

Before he can find who out she is the girl runs off, so Joe opens the letter thinking that is must be fan-mail or even a love letter. Mai thinks it must be hate-mail but it's actually a letter which reveals the location of where Terry is, meaning Joe should be able to find him easily. A little later on Andy and Mai are on a plane to Germany whilst Joe heads to the USA.

Meanwhile Terry walks out of a police station having stayed the night in a cell due to how violently he acted against the four gang members. As he exits the building Tony sees him, but so does Joe who can't believe what a state he is in and asks Terry what Andy would think of him now, concluding that he probably wouldn't even recognise him, and this leads to a punch to his stomach.

Joe then tells Terry that Andy is going after Krauser, but Terry instantly says that he must stay away from Krauser. Joe thinks to himself that if Terry is this scared of Krauser, then he must be the super fighter Jubei said he was. Joe then says that cowards disgust him and that if he wants to tell Andy to stay away from Krauser, he can do it himself, and he then runs off.

In Germany, Andy and Mai are out in a boat in the early hours taking a look at Krauser's castle, but they cannot see any signs of life inside, so they return back to dry land. Andy does some more researching and finds out that Krauser is not even in the country - he's actually abroad escorting the Queen of Nottingham, and may be gone for another month yet, so they may as well return home as they are just wasting their money staying in Germany otherwise. However, Mai is in no rush to go saying that she wants to enjoy her vacation here, and after beginning to pull off a minor strop Andy quickly changes his mind, and they'll stay here a little while longer.

Mai is pleased and heads off to do a little shopping leaving Andy to think about how much Mai tires him out. As Mai starts to look in some shop windows at dresses, she sees a reflection of a man and spins round to see Laurence Blood, who asks where her friend is. She doesn't tell him but he then goes on to ask why they were snooping around his Lord's castle.

Sometime later on, Andy begins to wonder where Mai is and has a look around, and sees one of her fans stuck in a tree which is pointing out the way she has gone. She is not at some ruins with Laurence, but he wants to know why she was at the castle this morning, and doesn't believe her story about she and her friend being tourists. He then warns that he will make her talk is she doesn't co-operate, but Mai tells him not to underestimate her just because she's a woman.

She then leaps up and removes his clothes to reveal her red ninja costume and tells him her full name and that he should prepare himself for a fight. And since he's got a sword and everything he's more than ready, and laughs at Mai's fan attacks when he slices them up, but she then uses her Ryu En Bu to smack him across the face.

In retaliation to this, Laurence goes psycho with his sword to try and cut Mai up but she deflects each of his swipes and then dashes away to hide behind a pillar. She doesn't realise that Laurence knows where she is though and when she hears him she tries to leap away but he grabs her ankle as she jumps and lands in a pond, and before she can get up Laurence points his sword at her throat and asks what the best recipe for fresh vixen is.

Andy then leaps in and finds the ruins, and also finds Mai bound to a pillar, with some guy with a sword sitting not far away. He asks what he has done to Mai but he just says that he punished her for over-stepping her bounds. As he gets up he tells Andy that if his actions have bothered him, then why doesn't he come over and teach him a les...

ZAN EI KEN

HISHOKEN (to the FACE)

CHO REPPA DAN (imagine the Ku Ha Dan but on fire)

With Laurence flat out annihilated, Andy frees Mai and then apologises to her for letting her get into that situation, but she forgives him as he carries her back the way they came, saying that they'll return home now.

In the USA, Terry is once again in a bar getting drunk whilst Tony is once again trying to stop him from overdoing it, but then two more people enter the bar, both being boxers. The larger of the two is Axel Hawk, a champion boxer, and the other is one of his disciples. Axel wants to fight Terry but Tony prevents him, and tells him that he is training under Terry. Axel finds this funny and tells Tony to spar with his pupil.

Things do not go well for Tony at all and as he starts to get pummelled, Terry is still at the bar, too drunk to go and help him. Instead, he thinks about his past, and how as a kid he tried to get into a karate dojo only for the karate master beat him up and tell him never to bother him again unless he gets stronger. When this happened, young Terry thought about these words and that he must get stronger in order to avenge his father.

After trying and getting beaten up a few more times, Terry eventually began to increase his power and he later returned to the dojo to beat the stuffing out of the karate master, marking his first victory after all of the hard effort he had put in. Terry then wakes up to see Tony being beaten up, but refusing to give up, which reminds him of his younger self. Tony's opponent has enough of beating up a kid and leaves, so Axel tells Tony he has won. Tony is barely conscious but tells Terry he won thanks to his lucky charm...

...Terry's gloves. Terry takes these and puts them back on his hands as he lays Tony back down to rest, and then learns that the only reason Axel did this was to get his attention. Axel then starts the fight he wanted with Terry, but even after punching him in the face full force, Terry just smiles and isn't hurt by it. Axel then tries to hit him again...

...but Terry dodges this attack and punches him in the face instead, which causes him to fall down and he can't get up, instead thinking how unbelievable it is that someone who was just a drunk a minute a go has managed to topple him, and he then passes out. Tony then chips in by telling Terry how incredible he is before he also passes out.

The next morning, Tony wakes up to find himself in the side car of a motorcycle and sees that Terry is the one riding. As Terry says he's glad that he is awake, he asks for him to pass him something out of his bag and he gets out Terry's red cap, as Terry goes to full speed, their next destination being Germany.

Meanwhile, the Queen of Nottingham is in a parade waving to the masses of people who have come to see her, and Krauser is up in a hotel room watching to make sure she's safe, but nothing is happening and he's bored out of his mind, until he hears a knock on the door and a waiter coming into the room. Krauser says that this must be the perfect hotel as it gives people free complimentary assassins.

And the waiter is upset at being rumbled so quickly, and he removes his disguise: it's Joe, who tells Krauser he wants to fight him and that he'll put up a better fight than Terry. Krauser doesn't believe this but, given how bored he is, he agrees to fight Joe, although he warns him that whatever Joe starts, he will finish.

As the fight starts Krauser immediately shows how powerful he is by parrying one of Joe's punches and then crushing his hand, and as Joe is left reeling in pain from this he says something funny. Joe then tries to knee Krauser in the face with his tiger knee move but Krauser stops this too and then throws Joe into the hotel room's pool, with more funnies being said.

Joe isn't defeated yet though and tells Krauser that he'll now use his new finishing move, but Krauser doesn't seem to care and tells him to go ahead and use it. After charging up his energy, Joe releases the screw upper attack, but whether or not it seems to even hurt Krauser is something we don't quite know just yet.

One of the planes at the airport has "SNK" written on the side of it.

Who that girl is who gives Joe the letter with Terry's location is never revealed. According to the Winkled page for the movie, there is a scene that runs in the background as the credits roll showing Hopper actually being the one giving the info to Joe, but since I've only got a version of the movie that has the US credits I can't confirm this.
