Cammy Tell Me True

Oh shit! It's the last episode, and not only is Bison still alive, but Cammy's storyline hasn't been finished either! And so here comes the last ever episode which ends it all, and we have ONE ON-SCREEN DEATH!

Cammy has been sent out by Bison on another version and is storming through a British MI5 base. She takes out the security force on the lower levels with some knock out gas bombs and dives into a lift. As the lift reaches the top level, the rest of the security force prepare to shoot as the door opens, but no-one is there. A bag is suddenly thrown at them which has another bomb in it which knocks the rest of the guards out.

Cammy jumps down from the top of the lift and runs into the main computer room. Taking off her gas mask she rambles about how the designers of this base didn't listen to her when it was being built and made it to easy for her to get inside. Cammy then uses a pocket PC to transfer all of the codes from the computer which Bison wants. Just as she finishes this a laser blast hits her, Celia has shown up to imprison Cammy. Cammy manages to keep her talking and then throws her gas mask at Celia, which knocks the gun out of her hands. Cammy kicks Celia into some computer panels and then starts a flying kick to finish her off...

... but Guile appears and throws a Sonic Boom which hits her back to the ground. As usual, Guile goes into his "I don't want to hurt you" speech, and also as usual, Cammy uses this stupidity to knock over Guile and then grab Celia's pistol. Guile and Celia are forced to take cover as Cammy makes her way back to the lift and escapes.

Unfortunately Celia got hit as Cammy fired off shots everywhere and as she collapses she says something about "doomsday codes". The next morning Burke and Rory appear on the scene. Burke is incredibly pissed that twenty agents have suffered from gas poisoning and that Celia is also now in need of medical attention meaning she'll be out of action. Burke says that from now on the Street Fighters should not get involved with MI5's affairs and that if any get in Burke's way he'll view them as hostiles and kill them. Guile asks about the doomsday codes Celia mentioned but Burke refuses to tell Guile anything.

Meanwhile at Bison's HQ Cammy arrives and hands him over the data disc. Bison tells her and Zangief (the latter of which seems to just be standing around doing nothing interesting) to leave and get rested. The disc contains the world's nuclear warheads access launch codes, something MI5 had stolen from any country with a nuclear device, and Bison intends to use this. The Kali statue has somehow told Bison to destroy the entire planet instead of trying to take over it. Unknown to Bison though is that Sagat is watching him via a hidden camera hooked up to his PC. Sagat thinks Bison has now gone mad and requires help to stop him, but he can't trust anyone else in Shadowloo... and so decides to give someone else a call.

Just as Guile and Chun-Li are about to take off in a jet to stop Bison, a biker pulls up making them stop and hands Guile a package before promptly riding off. Meanwhile back at Bison's HQ Rory and Burke are have found Bison, but they are no match for him. Bison sends Rory through a wall and then does a Psycho Crusher on Burke to knock him out.

As Guile and Chun-Li head towards Shadowloo, Guile opens the package and is surprised to see it's from Sagat. They learns of Bison's plan to destroy the world and the package also contains a tape which Sagat claims has evidence on it which will revert Cammy back to the side of good. There's also a handy guide to Shadowloo air space so they can get through with out alerting Bison's forces. Back inside Bison's HQ Bison taunts the now captured Burke and Rory, to make matters worse Rory's been tied up with these magnetic shock ropes. Bison has also found out about Sagat's betrayal and sets him to be executed by his own firing squad. Burke says Guile will defeat him as he has so many times in the past, so Bison shoots him with his magnetic powers to shut him up.

Guile and Chun-Li finally arrive and storm into the base. They split up, with Chun-Li taking one set of stairs and Guile taking the other. Cammy sneaks up on Chun-Li and tries to use her cannon drill attack on her, but misses and crashes through a door. Chun-Li then kicks Cammy and knocks her down, then tells Cammy that Bison murdered her parents. Cammy refuses to believe her of course, and gets back up to continue the fight.

Meanwhile Guile enters a monitor room. Zangief tries to sneak up on him but Guile notices. They then both try to attack each other but both miss horribly. Guile elbow smashes Zangief straight in the chest, but Zangief doesn't give up and grabs Guile. Just as he is about to punch him Chun-Li throws Cammy into Zangief knocking them both to the floor.

Guile throws Zangief, which finally defeats him. Chun-Li and Cammy continue to fight, but Guile puts Sagat's tape into a video player and starts it. Cammy stops and watches as it shows Bison capturing Cammy when she was 17 along with her parents after he discovered they were working for MI5. Bison murdered Cammy's parents and she was forced by Dr. Dhalsim to serve only Bison. Cammy yells out and then runs off to find Bison and take revenge on him for using her.

As this is going on Bison has the warheads prepared and tells Burke and Rory that in exactly 10 minutes every nuke in the world will be launched. Meanwhile outside Sagat faces death from his own hand picked hit squad, but he activates a hidden door to escape just as the hit squad open fire. He then goes off to find Bison and make him pay for trying to have him killed.

Guile and Chun-Li race after Cammy but she suddenly vanishes. The only thing Guile and Chun-Li find is a door which they start to break down. Bison spies on them but he is confident that they won't be able to get in within the time limit to stop his plans. Cammy then drops down from a ventilation shaft and distracts Bison, and then punches him in the stomach and starts to fight him. She opens the cage to free Burke and Rory just as Chun-Li and Guile manage to open the door.

Cammy starts to attack Bison again but it Bison beats her down. Chun-Li then tries to attack him but again Bison is too strong and uses his psycho crusher to knock her to the floor. As this is all going on Bison gets the best lines of the entire Street Fighter cartoon series. Guile meanwhile is trying to stop the countdown but actually makes it go faster. Bison moves along and uses his magnetic powers to pin Guile up against a wall.

Suddenly Bison is sent flying when a blast of energy hits him. It was a Tiger Shot from Sagat! Sagat then does another Tiger Shot which makes Bison crash into the cage which Rory is still in. Rory finally manages to break free from his ropes and grabs Bison, electrocuting him with them. Bison elbows Rory and manages to break free.

Sagat and Guile then gang up on Bison by throwing lots of projectiles at him. One projectile misses Bison but hits an overhead object which breaks loose and lands on Bison. Bison isn't dead though and punches out of it before he collapses.

Guile and Sagat start to destroy the control computer as the timer reaches it's final minute, but Bison gets up, carrying the object that crushed him seconds a go. He throws it at Sagat to take him out before turning his attention to Guile.

It looks like Bison is going to win until Guile gains the upper hand when he throws Bison into the main computer panels. Guile then throws a couple of Sonic Booms which make Bison crash into the computer, over-loading it. The counter blows up with just a second left and this is it now for Bison. Are you ready?

See, he's caught up in a load of wires.

And his magnetic powers are over-loading the system even further.

Now's he's being dragged into the computer. Is he being EATEN by a computer?

Despite his pleas for help no-one does anything and you suddenly realise he's being EATEN by a computer.

He keeps calling for help but it's too late as he is EATEN BY A COMPUTER.

A COMPUTER WHICH THEN EXPLODES.

They probably can't believe what they've just seen but Guile tells everyone how they have saved the world by teaming together, despite their differences.

With that Guile says that they are worthy to be called Street Fighters and they walk off into the sunset. Days later Guile meets up with Cammy on a bridge at night, and tells her that MI5 have dropped the charges against her and also offer a rehabilitation period. Guile also says that she is offered to rejoin the Street Fighter team, but she declines, wanting to live her own life after leading a past of lives. She walks off with these final words, and then the credits roll and that's your lot for the Street Fighter animated series - and yes, you really did see Bison get EATEN BY A COMPUTER.

This episode disappointed me simply because I was expecting some kind of ultimate clash with every Street Fighter taking on Bison in a final battle. Instead, the only good characters to show up are Guile and Chun-Li (plus I suppose you could count Cammy since she turns good again). You'd think they would have at least bought Blanka in as he was the other major "good" character but nope.

Also, I'd think they would have at least had some great celebratory scene with all the Street Fighters at the end but again, there isn't one, and the series ends on a seemingly negative note.

Sagat says that he cannot trust anyone in Shadowloo, but he obviously changed his mind as some random biker is seen giving the package to Guile.

When you see Dhalsim injecting Cammy with something on that video Sagat gives to Guile, he seems to be enjoying it. In the movie though he's always shown as hating working for Bison and is put in chains.

Rory doesn't have any lines at all in this episode. He just grunts and yells a heck of a lot. I guess Scott McNeil - the voice actor for him - wasn't available on the day or something.

This is the only time someone dies in the Street Fighter cartoon, and it's extremely rare that someone dies on screen in a kids cartoon anyway, especially a Saturday morning one. Although the death of Cammy's parents and Chun-Li's father is mentioned.

I find it odd that as soon as Bison dies, Sagat kind of vanishes. He isn't shown walking off into the sunset with the others.
