Face of Fury

With Blanka now full of mutagen, his anger and power have both increased. And you just know Blanka's going to do something stupid when Vega escapes from prison.

Blanka and Guile are on an assignment to keep the peace in the middle east as various groups and squaring off against each other. As soon as they see Blanka though, the groups stop insulting each other and instead pick up stones and throw them at him, then prepare to shoot him.
 

After some verbal ownage from Blanka, Guile attempts to stop him from getting into a fight, but it is too late and Blanka beats up anyone who opposes him. This is all recorded by a news crew reporting in the area, and as this is being broadcast, it is watched by Vega. Vega's been in prison since "Eye of the Beholder" and instantly recognises Blanka.

As he watches this Vega runs across to the TV, picks it up and throws it at some guards, starting a riot. Eventually more guards come but Vega picks up some plates, of all things, and throws them at the reinforcement guards, clearing a path for his escape. Running outside, Vega leaps up a wall and climbs over it, and then steals a truck to make his getaway. Vega says he'll have his revenge on Blanka.
 

Meanwhile Guile suggests to Blanka that he gets away from it for a while, but Blanka has no idea where to go. Later on Chun-Li reports for the news that Vega has escaped from prison. As she finishes, Guile shows up and she informs him that Vega has gotten away. Guile and Chun-Li ride to where Vega ditched the stolen truck, which now has "Blanka" etched onto the side. Guile is more worried that Blanka, now more powerful than ever, would be the one to do more damage to Vega rather than the other way around. They want to warn Blanka but they have no idea where he went.

Chun-Li checks on a computer for the latest flight departures and finds that Blanka left for Hawaii. Guile realises the reason he went there was to meet up with Mai-Lei, one of the only people to understand Blanka and not see him as a monster (see Eye of the Beholder). Blanka has already landed and has met up with her again, and she suggests that they go to eat. It's a big mistake though because as soon as they reach a populated area people start calling Blanka a monster again, and Blanka naturally goes a bit psycho. Mai-Lei tells Blanka that he has changed on the inside and leaves, leaving Blanka to think about what he was doing and try to control his anger.

Guile and Chun-Li arrive in Hawaii and set off to Dr. Kapuna's research station. Vega meanwhile has also arrived, and promptly captures Mai-Lei, demanding she tells him where Blanka is so he can take his revenge.

Just then Blanka happens to show up and demands that Vega leaves Mai-Lei alone. Vega says that it has nothing to do with her anyway and he just wants to hurt Blanka. They start to fight and eventually push back to a hotel, but Vega's attacks are not effective against Blanka. When Vega tries to slash Blanka with his talon, Blanka's tough skin destroys it.
 

Guile and Chun-Li find Mai-Lei and give her a ride towards the hotel. Meanwhile Vega attempts to set Blanka on fire by grabbing a torch light and trying to hit Blanka with it, but Blanka defeats Vega by throwing a large pot of soup at him. Standing over Vega, Blanka says a mad rhyme just as Guile and the others show up.
 

Guile throws a Sonic Boom to turn Blanka's attention away from Vega. This works, but now Blanka fights against Guile and Chun-Li instead, and is far too powerful for them. Meanwhile Vega gets up and removes his mask, and sees that his face has been damaged by Blanka, making Vega even more angry. He captures Mai-Lei again, just as Guile and Chun-Li throw their projectiles at the same time to try and knock Blanka back. This fails though and instead, they get blasted back.
 

Vega shows up again though and tells Blanka that he is going to mutilate Mai-Lei's face so she will never be beautiful again. Blanka, however, charges up his electricity and then seems to shoot Vega with a laser type blast, sending him flying into a tree.
 

Blanka prepares to hammer punch Vega right in the face, but Mai-Lei stops him, and then tells Blanka that he is a monster on the inside. Blanka regains his senses and agrees with her, saying that he is not fit to walk with men, and walks off. Vega comes to and also walks away before anyone can capture him again.

Mai-Lei tells Guile and Chun-Li that Blanka tried to kill Vega, Guile asks why he didn't do it and Mai-Lei says she doesn't know. Chun-Li realises that there is still good in Blanka as he responded to Mai-Lei when she told Blanka to stop. Guile vows that they'll help Blanka get through this. Meanwhile Blanka decides to live life alone and sits upon a rock wondering where he should go now.

Last appearance of Vega, giving him a whopping two appearances in total. He still managed to beat Balrog though.
