The Flame and the Rose

Rose is suffering from nightmares of the entire world being destroyed, so she sets out to find out who could be capable of doing such a thing.

Thankfully, it was a dream. Rose wakes up and uses her tarot cards to see what the dream meant. She turns over four cards, these being the fool, the beast, fire and death. She realises that whoever the fool and the beast are have increased there chi powers and upset the balance of the universe, and must be stopped. Rose sets out through a magical gate way to find the ones she is after.

Rose's first target is the beast, which of course is Blanka. Since the events of "Face of Fury" Blanka has been hiding out with a tribe in a jungle. Two thieves have robbed the tribe of their treasure and are on the run, but Blanka appears and stops them. Blanka is about to kill the thieves when some of the tribes men show up, but then Rose appears, grabs Blanka, and vanishes with him.
 

Meanwhile in Tokyo, Ryu and Ken are on a mission to protect a key witness, and have run into a biker gang hired to kill her. The gang are quickly defeated, but before they can leave Rose appears out of thin air, grabs Ken, and vanishes before Ryu can do anything to stop her.

Ken and Blanka find each other in a weird pink cloud filled void. They start to fight each other as Rose has made them think they are each other's enemies. Ken is about to finish Blanka off when he remembers that he fights not to kill, and stops. Rose appears and tells the two that they are both evil and must destroy each other, but when they refuse, she realises that she was wrong and that they are not the ones who will destroy the world, but someone else is. She doesn't know who that someone is though.

Of course, the guy behind it all is Bison, and at the present moment he is worried that he is now healing fast enough after not being able to complete the healing process since Guile got in the way in "Cammy Must Die!" Bison is worried that according to Kali's history, anyone who uses the power of Kali to often will become Kali's servant, but he uses it again anyway. Meanwhile Rose takes Ken and Blanka back to the physical world and to her home. Rose suggests they go into a ritual to find out the truth and who the real evil is, which Ken and Blanka agree to do.

In the ritual, Ken and Blanka see into Rose's past, and to a time when Rose was younger and met a man with a powerful psychic aura, the man being Bison. Ken and Blanka instantly recognise him and Rose says that this is the man who must be stopped. Rose devises a plan: she will distract Bison and attack him on the psychic plane, whilst Ken and Blanka attack him on the psychical plane. Bison cannot be in two places at once so he will lose. Rose uses her psychic power (meaning her eyes go white, for some reason) to find Bison's castle hideout and Ken and Blanka head there.
 

Rose enters the psychic realm and calls out to Bison, who immediately appears and accepts her challenge to a fight. This happens just as Ken and Blanka burst into Bison's base and see that Bison is fighting Rose, meaning his physical body is open to attack. But before they can reach him, Cammy and Zangief appear. Blanka says a great line though.
 

They all get into a big fight, and Ken and Blanka are now unable to reach Bison. Zangief uses his spinning clothes-line move to crush Blanka under a pillar, but Blanka gets back up, picks the pillar up and...
 

... slams Zangief straight into a wall, crushing him. Back in the psychic realm, Bison and Rose are fighting each other, when Rose realises that Bison is drawing his strength from the Kali statue. She uses her psychic power to contact Blanka and tells him to destroy the statue to severely weaken Bison. Blanka hears her message, stops fighting Zangief and rushes to the statue, grabs it, and crushes it with his hands.
 

Bison's entire base explodes, and later on Ken digs himself out of the rubble to find Rose. When the Kali statue was destroyed, Rose awoke back in her home and so she came to Bison's base.
 

Blanka appears and Rose tells him that Bison and Cammy are still alive, but have gotten away. The battle is over for now, and they have won. The three wonder if the tarot cards were wrong, but it could have been that Bison was the fool, the beast and doomed all at the same time.
 

Rose says she must return home to think about these matters, Ken tells her that when Bison shows himself again, he will have to face the Street Fighters. He and Blanka turn back to see Rose again, but she has once again vanished.

lol at Ken giving a nice v sign to his biker gang opponents. This seems to be part of a fighting stance he goes into for a couple of seconds, but still.

Want to know why Rose took Blanka and Ken as the ones that had increased their chi greatly? Blanka's power increased dramatically after he got covered in mutagen in "New Kind of Evil" whilst Ken's power increased after he defeated Akuma in "The World's Greatest Warrior".
