I Risk My Life For Earth

With Galvatron seemingly destroyed, Zarak has taken command of the Decepticons and makes himself the new leader. He gathers together the Decepticons on Charr and makes a speech about how they will become an empire of dread, destroy the Autobots and take over the universe. Counterpunch is also present and as Zarak's speech winds up he runs off to contact Fortress on Athenia.

As the news of Zarak's promotion filters through to the Autobots, Chromedome and Brainstorm discuss how the fighting is only going to get worse now that Zarak has taken command of the Decepticons. Highbrow is still looking through the code Tekna gave to him a while a go but has still not had any luck in finding Scorponok's weak spot.

At Charr again, Zarak tells Sixshot that the death of Ultra Magnus changes everything, and that their attacks on Earth should now be a lot easier for them. Sixshot heads to Earth whilst Zarak talks to the other Decepticon Headmasters about them fighting the Autobots and that there plan for the Earth will soon be completed.

Meanwhile the Autobots take a look at where they have been recently attacked on Earth, and it seems that the majority of the attacks are happening in the northern region of the planet. Fortress decides to send more Autobots to that sector for now. Spike says that he also needs to go to Earth to head to a meeting about Earth's mantle.

Chromedome decides to go along with Spike and they head to Earth via the Trainbots. The reason the meeting is taking place is because humans are wanting to drill into the mantle and extract energy out of it. Later on at Autobot City Spike shows the Autobots where a large volcano range is and that the Decepticons have recently been attacking the northern part of it.

Just then Trypticon attacks Autobot City and Chromedome and Spike rush outside to see that there is no way that can defend themselves against such a large foe. Spike rather foolishly says he wants to stay outside and fight instead of heading back inside to take cover as Metroplex drives in and starts firing to get Trypticon's attention.

Metroplex drop kicks Trypticon which sends him crashing into the ground, but before the Autobots can even think that they've won, Sixshot zooms in and transforms, saying he's going to take Chromedome's life now. Thinking of how he killed Ultra Magnus, Chromedome starts to fight him whilst Metroplex and Trypticon continue their fight. Disaster strikes however when some stray laser blasts from Sixshot explode next to Spike, flinging him back.

Shouki and Suiken rind outside to see what's going on. Metroplex tells Shouki to take care of Spike, but the worst is feared when Spike doesn't move. Meanwhile Suiken helps out Metroplex and the two manage to send Trypticon running whilst Chromedome blasts Sixshot out of the sky, who also then retreats.

With Spike seriously inured in the explosion, he is transported to Athenia and an operation is started to remove pieces of shrapnel which got stuck inside him. Fortress and Arcee complete the operation and head back to tell the others that it has mostly been a success but one piece cannot be removed. Upset that his father may die, Daniel runs off to where he is and Carly follows him. Chromedome thinks to himself that this is all his fault, but then decides to blame Fortress for not trying to destroy the Decepticons sooner, and then says he's going to take on the Decepticons on his own and attempts to head out but is stopped by the other Autobots, who manage to calm him down.

Fortress gathers the other Autobot Headmasters and he tells them what Zarak's ultimate plan must be: the Decepticons are going to blow up the Earth. To do this, they are going to bombard various pieces of mantle, which when destroyed will completely destroy the planet, and release a huge amount of plasma energy that the Decepticons will take. A report them comes in saying that the Decepticons have been seen and Chromedome says they'll go and check it out, but Fortress says that in his emotional state, he is not fit to lead and puts Brainstorm in charge in stead, forcing Chromedome to stay behind.

As the other Autobots leave Chromedome overhears a conversation between Spike and his son. Spike tells Daniel that if anything happens to him, he must take his place and continue to be an envoy for the Autobots. Daniel tells his Dad to hang on but Spike suddenly rears away from him in pain, and it isn't looking like he'll make it.

The Autobots engage the Decepticons on Earth but without Chromedome to lead the attack things don't go to plan and the Decepticons soon prove to be the stronger warriors. Zarak is watching the fight and is pleased as he knows that it means Fortress will surely go to their rescue, so Zarak heads to Earth.

Meanwhile on Athenia there is still the matter of saving Spike's life. It is decided that to removed the last piece of shrapnel in Spike's body, Fortress will have to use his telekinetic power to destroy it and save Spike, but this means that Fortress will have used up all of his energy and won't be able to transform for a while. To make matters worse, they find out that Scorponok is heading towards Earth but Fortress transforms into his head mode and saves Spike's life.

Fortress then heads to Earth on his ship, once again leaving Chromedome behind. The Autobots on Athenia are concerned because now that Fortress is out of energy, he'll most likely be at Scorponok's mercy. Chromedome says they must find Scorponok's weak spot immediately as it is the only way that they can stop Fortress from meeting a nasty end. Chromedome finds a note from Highbrow, who put that he has determined that the weak spot must be somewhere around Scorponok's chest to his head. Daniel and Wheelie come in to help Chromedome out.

Arriving at the battle on Earth, Scorponok instantly uses his the weakened state of his enemy to his advantage, and picks up Fortress' ship and throws it down a canyon. The other Autobots attack him but are no match for Scorponok's superior fire power. Scorponok then jumps down and starts to batter Fortress' ship by stomping on it. Fortress meanwhile quickly tries to store up energy to transform but it's too late.

But back on Athenia, Chromedome has managed to find Scorponok's weak spot: it's the Decepticon symbol on his chest. Now that it's finally been found Chromedome says that he'll get to Earth no matter what to tell Fortress and runs off, saying that despite the space bridge being out of action he'll find a way to get to Earth.

Chromedome might have found out about Scorponok's weak spot a bit too late though as back on Earth Scorponok tells Fortress that this is it, and he picks up Fortress' ship and hurls it into a pool of lava, sinking instantly.

But because Scorponok's stupid and doesn't learn from the past he simply stands there looking at the lava whilst Fortress uses the energy in the lava to power himself up. He then raises his ship out of the lava to the amazement of everyone and transforms into his giant robot mode, and stands ready to fight Scorponok. The other Decepticons present decide to wimp out and run off.

Before the fight starts Chromedome lands having made the journey from Athenia to Earth OK, and tells Fortress to attack the Decepticon symbol on Scorponok's chest as that's his weak spot. Because Scorponok is a bit dense in this episode, he shouts "how did you know?!" just to confirm it. The Autobots fire on Scorponok as Fortress leaps over...

..and stabs Scorponok straight in his weak spot, which makes the Decepticon stumble off the edge and into the lava.

Scorponok then leaps out of the lava, but he has been severely damaged and retreats, heading back to Charr. The Autobots on Athenia are glad that Fortress and the others are alright, and that everything has turned out fine with Scorponok's weak spot being found and Spike's life being saved. Later on the Autobots head back to Athenia on Fortress' ship and everyone is happy.

Obviously Scorponok doesn't learn from his past mistakes, as he left Fortress to die on Mars only to have him come back fully powered up when he used the energy from the explosion to power him self up. The same kind of thing happens here, only that Fortress manages to use energy from the lava.
