SOS From Planet Sandra

Cyclonus and Scourge pick up an SOS signal from, you guessed it, planet Sandra. The SOS reveals that the planet is so low on energy that they only have one year left to keep their cities powered. Cyclonus says they should just ignore it but Scourge goes and tells Galvatron. Of course Galvatron and Scorponok couldn't care less about the SOS but Galvatron tells Ratbat to gather the other Decepticon cassettes and Soundblaster to go and spy on the Autobots to see if they react to the SOS.

At Athenia the Autobots have also received the SOS and Fortress shows the others how Sandra is in a parallel universe, making it just like Earth. A debate then starts on what the Autobots should do, with almost everyone agreeing that they are going to have to help out and send them energy to use. But Spike brings up the valid point that the Autobot's energy reserves are no longer in great shape either due to Cybertron's destruction, and that giving away energy like this could be a bad move.

Later on Punch returns to Athenia and tells Fortress that the Decepticons have also heard the SOS, but they are not going to do anything about it. Punch then returns to Charr in his Decepticon mode whilst Fortress and the others head back inside the base and find out how much energy they can spare for Sandra. Whilst it isn't much it's the best they can do and everyone is sure that Sandra will accept it. None of the Autobots notice that Ratbat is watching them though. Fortress gathers together a team to head to Sandra immediately.

Ratbat heads back to Charr and tells Galvatron on what the Autobots are going to do about the SOS. Both of them think that the Autobots are fools for giving away their own energy to someone else, but Galvatron is interested in the fact that the energy will be shipped from Earth. Galvatron heads to Earth and meets Sixshot, who tells him where the Autobots are and that they will have a team ready to attack.

Under Ultra Magnus' command, the Autobots on Earth load up the Trainbots with energon cubes. Twincast suddenly appears warning that he's learnt that Galvatron has come to Earth to steal the Autobot's energy, and that's when a bunch of Decepticons appear and attack.

As the Autobots and Decepticons fight Ultra Magnus takes on Galvatron and tells the Trainbots to move out whilst the likes of Computron and Defensor keep the Decepticon gestalts busy. The Trainbots start to move but Sixshot then arrives in his space fight mode and shoots down the Trainbots, once again preventing them from leaving Earth.

With the battle now preventing the Autobots from leaving Earth, Ultra Magnus contacts Fortress on Athenia telling him that they are pinned down by the Decepticon attack. Fortress decides to change their plans and instead use the energy stored on Athenia instead whilst Galvatron and the other Decepticons are still on Earth. Ultra Magnus orders the Autobots to unload the energon cubes off the Trainbots, and since they are easy to destroy, the Decepticons have to cease fire so they don't blow up what they want. Galvatron realises that the Autobots must be sending energy from Athenia instead and so he contacts Zarak.

Fortress has already blasted off and proceeds to Sandra, but within minutes they pick up a large object on the radar. Scorponok is after them, and even though they are at full speed Scorponok soon catches up and sends out Weirdwolf, Mindwipe and Skullcruncher to fight against the Autobot Headmasters. Fortress tells Spike, Daniel and Wheelie to take the energon cube filled carrier ship to Sandra whilst he stays here to fight.

Chromedome and Hardhead transform, leaving their main bodies behind and enter the small ship, which then takes off and heads towards Sandra. Scorponok attempts to give chase but is stopped thanks to Fortress, letting Chromedome fly the smaller ship straight to Sandra without any difficulties.

Scorponok finally manages to evade Fortress and heads to Sandra with Fortress in pursuit. Meanwhile Spike and the others approach Sandra and eventually land on the planet to find a largely baron desert wasteland with a few small cities. The leaders of Sandra say that their planet was once rich on resources but due to them using more than what they needed their energy levels are extremely low. They've been researching on how to make new energy but this would take several years, and they needed more energy now.

Everyone then notices that two objects are approaching, and are soon recognised as Fortress and Scorponok. Chromedome explains to the leaders of Sandra that the Decepticons are their enemies but they will stop them from taking the energy. Outside Galvatron shows up having followed Scorponok to Sandra and then goes to look for the energy.

Brainstorm and Highbrow follow Galvatron but are forced into battling Weirdwolf and the other Decepticon Headmasters instead. Meanwhile Chromedome and Hardhead remain in their smaller robot forms and go and stick a couple of explosives onto Scorponok, which explode a few seconds later and do a rather unrealistic amount of damage to him, forcing him to retreat.

The other Decepticons are holding out in a tower, but retreat when it is blown up by the Autobots thanks to the help of Chromedome and Hardhead who have combined with their larger bodies again. With the energy for Sandra now safe the Autobots leave the planet whilst the Sandra leaders wave goodbye and say that they will continue their energy research, whilst Fortress' ship blasts off and heads back to Athenia.

The explosives that Chromedome and Hardhead use on Scorponok are ridiculously powerful, managing to cause explosion all over Scorponok and forcing him into retreating. What's strange is that they weren't even planted on Scorponok's weak spot (which is revealed much later on in the series) and it just seems weird in general that these tiny explosives could do so much damage.
