Will God Ginrai Save Cnacer!?
With their previous plan in destroying humanity on Earth from space failing, Devil Z's new tactic is for the Decepticons to go back to basics and sends them out on sprees of destruction across the planet whilst various Autobots scramble to try and stop them from destroying absolutely everything. Shūta wants to know just how much destruction it will take for the Decepticons to be satisfied but deep down Ginrai knows that they want to destroy all life on the planet.
With his repairs complete, Black Zarak has also returned to the Earth to play his part in the attack, but at the Decepticon base only the Headmaster Jrs have been left behind, and even Bullhorn is beginning to think that they may not be on the right side as Devil Z has referred to humans as insects that need to be crushed, but Wilder says that even if his home town got reduced to ash he wouldn't care one bit.
Wilder then remembers something and says that he heard that Black Zarak's next target is Cancer's place of birth: China. When Cancer hears this he thinks of these terrible images of his home country been obliterated and runs out of the room before either of the others can stop him and takes off in a helicopter to head to China.
As he arrives in the country he starts to roam around the place telling everyone he can that the Decepticons are coming and that they must all evacuate immediately to the safety of the nearby mountains before it is too late. No-one believes him though and as he keeps trying to spread the message he comes across a martial arts school where students are practicing and he recognises one of them as they all run away: his old friend, Chang. Cancer used to attend the martial arts school with him before he left to join the Decepticons.
Glad to meet each other again, Cancer starts to tell him about what the Decepticons are planning to do, and he doesn't notice that Road King has pulled up behind them but all he does is observe rather than attack. Cancer then says that they could ask their sensei (master) but Chang has some sad news about him: he passed away six months a go.
Inside their old dojo, Chang explains that the place has practically fallen apart even since their master past away and that most of the students have changed schools or simply given up all together. After Cancer had left before, their sensei fell into a depression and eventually died because of it, leaving the place in the state it is now.
Because Cancer was an orphan, his sensei treated him like his own son but now he is gone and really it is all his fault. Cancer tells Chang to get out of here whilst he still can and then goes back out to his Transtector, only for Road King to appear from behind it and tell him that he heard everything and tries to talk with him but he won't listen and gets away.
Later on that night Cancer reflects over how he has failed to convince anyone to leave China before it is too late, and then Black Zarak finally arrives and after climbing out of the river Cancer was looking at he starts his attack.
Road King contacts Ginrai about this and then tries his best to fight Black Zarak. As Cancer sees that there is nothing he can do to stop the attack he is about to return to base when he hears a cry for help and sees that Chang and another boy are trapped in a burning building, but he transforms and rescues them in time.
As he runs to take them to a safe place he is blasted in the back and can't move, and tells the two of them to just run to a safer area now and leave him here. As they run off Cancer is left alone but then a building next to him falls apart and the rubble all falls on top of him. Meanwhile Ginrai arrives to help Road King fight Black Zarak.
As the two Autobots fight, God Bomber lands and the Autobot Headmaster Jrs roll out to start performing rescue operations, and as they go down one street they suddenly stop when Browning appears in front of them saying that Cancer is trapped under the rubble ahead. Despite Shūta thinking what has happened is great, Minerva makes him help her and Cab look for him.
As they start to remove the rubble, the other two Autobots are still in battle with Black Zarak until they make him stumble and fall over when they shoot him in the face a few times. As they get closer he reveals that he has a little surprise for them all and calls out "Sparkdash!" as the ground in front of him starts to crack open.
And out leap three new Decepticons - Guzzle, Sizzle and Jabile.
These new Decepticons demonstrate what they can do by showing off their flame breath on the Autobots, but they avoid these attacks and then strike back, destroying the three of them instantly.
In another part of the world, Overlord, Hydra and Buster are fighting against Lightfoot and Ranger. Devil Z contacts Overlord and tells him that Black Zarak is in need of assistance fighting the Autobots in China, so he heads straight there as God Ginrai and Road King move in for the kill against the still stunned Decepticon.
Overlord arrives just in time to split the Autobots up and then he and Black Zarak go after God Ginrai. A short distance away, the Autobots find Cancer who doesn't appreciate them digging him out until he is told that they were under orders from Ginrai to get him, and just then God Ginrai appears round the corner with both of the Decepticons firing at him.
When Overlord learns that Cancer is behind the Autobots he is hesitant to fire so God Ginrai uses this to leap behind him and then pick him up and fly with him into the sky. He then heads toward the other Decepticon and drops Overlord into him, and as they get back up Devil Z tells them to stop and withdraw now, which they both do.
With them gone, Cancer is finally completely dug out and he asks why the Autobots bothered to save him in the first place, and Ginrai tells him that because he earlier tried to save the people of China from the Decepticons, he must have a heart and that makes him the same as any of them. The Autobots then watch him leave with Browning in a helicopter as he heads back to base.
The Decepticon Sparkdash appear for the first time in this episode, they are known as the Firecons elsewhere in the world and also have different names. In this series though they are like the Seacons - they can't talk and there are many of them to be used mainly as cannon fodder. There were also Autobot Sparkdash toys but these were never used in this series.
