Attack the Shuttle Base!!
| |
The new guy Hellbat introduces himself to Deszaras and tells him that Leozack summoned him to Earth so they could be a team again. Deszaras isn't interested until he is told of a plan where the Decepticons could get a lot of energy.

A short distance away from where the Thunder Arrow is, Killbison and Drillhorn are training as Leozack watches. They then take a break and discuss Hellbat, with both Killbison and Drillhorn not thinking that he is to be trusted and that Leozack only told him to come to Earth so they could use him as a spy. Kakuryu then runs across and tells Leozack to go see Deszaras immediately.

Inside Deszaras tells Leozack that in two hours time a space shuttle will be taking off from a base in Nevada, and it will be full of energy. The Decepticons are to attack it and take the energy for themselves. At first Leozack says it will be a waste of time but Deszaras is certain, and Leozack then realises that Hellbat must have told him about it beforehand. At first Leozack is angry with Hellbat for not telling him first but later forgives him as he will take the credit when they succeed in getting the energy. The two Decepticons head towards Nevada.

Meanwhile, the Autobots Blacker and Braver are on a large oil tanker which is sailing across the Indian ocean. The tanker has a lot of oil that the Decepticons may try to steal to make into energy so the Autobots are protecting it on it's journey, as the other Autobots watch it from the Shuttle base. Star Saber contacts Blacker who confirms that they haven't seen any Decepticons so far.

In Nevada the Decepticons reach the base and Hellbat goes over the facts. There are actually two shuttles around, one is outside and looks like it's ready to launch but it's actually a decoy. The real one is inside one of the hangars and will only leave a few minutes before it's time for it to take off. And inside the hangar with the real shuttle, the Decepticons are unaware that the Multiforce have been called in to protect it.
It's then time for the shuttle to launch and as it comes out of the hangar the Decepticons notice that it's got an Autobot escort with Dashtacker and Machtackle rolling out behind it. But Leozack thinks that this is actually a good thing because it must mean that the shuttle has something valuable or the Autobots wouldn't be there defending it. The two Decepticons transform and open fire on the Autobots...
...who try to contact Star Saber but get blasted around a bit. With their enemies being too good in the air, they hide under the shuttle. This causes a problem for Leozack and Hellbat as they can't shoot at the Autobots without taking a risk of damaging the shuttle, and that means they could destroy the energy they want. So instead Leozack sends out his Brest animal as Drillhorn and Killbison arrive to attack too.
The other Autobots at Shuttle base are trying to get back into contact with Dashtacker and Machtackle but are having no luck until Star Saber contacts them and tells Laster, Wingwaver, Pipo and Fire to head out to Nevada whilst Holi and Jan stay behind to stay in charge of communications and Boater waits to see if Blacker and Braver require any assistance at sea. The Autobots get onboard Galaxy Shuttle who launches and heads straight off to Nevada.
With most of the Decepticons keeping the Autobots distracted, Leozack batters his way through part of the shuttle and finds a lot of energy containers. He then makes his way to the cockpit and tries to move the shuttle, but the human pilots who were there have locked out the computer. Hellbat then drops down and tells him that more Autobots have arrived.
And to make things worse, Leozack can't move the shuttle that they've put so much effort in to stealing. But helpful Hellbat has a suggestion and tells Leozack that they should move all of the energy outside and put it into a container, and then Leozack himself can fly it out in his jet mode by carrying it. He thinks it's a good idea so he gets Killbison and Drillhorn to keep on firing at the Autobots, who can't fire back as the risk hitting the energy containers which would send everyone sky high.
With most of the energy loaded up into a single container, Leozack transforms and carries it away as Hellbat follows him, leaving the other Decepticons to continue to fight the Autobots. Meanwhile Star Saber finally decides to get off his robo-buttocks and goes out to help his friends, and soon finds the two airborne Decepticons. Hellbat rushes in to attack as Leozack continues on to try and get back to the Thunder Arrow.
Hellbat does not last very long though as Star Saber transforms, letting the V-Star go after Leozack as he shoots down Hellbat. The V-Star catches up with the Decepticon and locks onto the rope link, blasting and splitting it. As the box drops down to Earth Star Saber transforms again and catches it, and then starts firing on Leozack.
Leozack transforms and lands, as Star Saber merges back with the V-Star to transform into his larger robot form. Leozack tells him that he isn't leaving without the energy and charges, but Star Saber is ready for him.
As usual Leozack is the loser and is forced to drop his weapon thanks to a deep cut to his left shoulder. He then transforms and retreats as Star Saber watches him depart. A short distance away, a damaged Hellbat sees that Leozack has lost the container, meaning that all of their hard work has come to nothing. But Hellbat thinks that he'll try to imply that it was all Leozack's fault that they failed when they report to Deszaras.

A little later on the other Decepticons have retreated, and after the shuttle is given another spot check it's given a green light to launch. As it takes off Holi reports in saying that the tanker Blacker and Braver were guarding has reached it's destination without interruption meaning it's been a successful day all round for the Autobots who watch the shuttle finally head into space.
It's around this point in the series that you should be realising that the Decepticons could achieve a lot more sooner if Deszaras bothered to help out his own troops.
Galaxy Shuttle, who could have been a big help in the fight at the base, is never seen again in the episode after dropping off the Autobots.
