Jan, Protect the School!!
| |
After being blasted into space by Victory Saber, Deszaras has retreated and most of the Dinoforce are busy repairing the Thunder Arrow, which apparently was also damaged during the battle. Inside the ship, Deszaras is extremely unhappy, calling his own troops worthless fools with clumsy attacks, and that they have no energy because of their failures. Leozack politely mentions that it was Deszaras who miscalculated Star Saber's speed which led to the missile launcher being destroyed, but he is quickly silenced in the worst way possible by the Decepticon leader.
He then throws Leozack back down and tells them from now on their main targets are Star Saber and Victory Leo, as the only way that they're going to win this war is if those two are disposed of. As the Decepticons agree to this, Goryu turns round and thinks about a plan he has that will ridicule Leozack and put him in favour with Deszaras.

At Shuttle base, Wing and Waver notice Jan and Holi carrying a lot of equipment around and ask what they plan to do with it only to be told that it's a secret. What they are doing is soon shown though, as we see that Laster and Holi are building Jan his very own transforming mecha as he wants to help the Autobots more than ever.
Soon the mecha is complete and Holi asks Jan what he's going to call it only for him to respond with "It's a secret". Meanwhile in space, Perceptor and the other Autobot medics are returning to the war between the Transformers in another part of the galaxy, and are already heading back in a large Autobot battle cruiser. Perceptor and Star Saber salute one another as the crustier heads off into space.

The next day Jan goes to school in his mecha, but before arriving he meets up with Illumina and takes her to school in the new ride. But what they haven't seen is that Kakuryu and Rairyu are hiding and spying on them, and believe that the mecha is a new Autobot. After some debate over whether or not they should go and attack it or contact their leader, they both decide to report back to Goryu. In the meantime Jan and Illumina finally get to school, impressing everyone with the mecha.
As school starts the Dinoforce are about to attack, as Goryu's brilliant plan is to destroy the school and lure out Star Saber so they can kill him. But as they are about to start, Kakuryu points out that this new Autobot they saw could be really powerful, they don't know what sort of damage he could do to them. But c'mon, they've got the great and powerful Goryu, and they can take care of anything with Dinoking! But then they think back to when Victory Leo beat up Dinoking and decide to re-think their strategy.
At the school it's either recess or Jan has snuck out to show Clump how the mecha works, but Illumina and her friends Joyce and Rumi demand to get a ride as well, and Jan lets them. But the Dinoforce see that the new Autobot is out and Goryu gets Kakuryu to shoot at it, but his blast narrowly misses as Jan is showing the others how far the mecha can jump at that exact moment.
The Dinoforce then decide to ignore the new Autobot and just start to attack the school instead. As the children and teachers evacuate Jan contacts Holi, who in turn contacts Star Saber and tells him about the situation. Victory Leo is already on the way and soon Star Saber jets towards the school at full speed. But they won't be there for a few minutes meaning that it's up to Jan to try and protect the school. Problem is, his mecha has no weapons at all, so he runs off and Goryu chases after him.
They don't get that far as Goryu topples the mecha and then puts his foot on it as Star
Saber and Victory Leo arrive. But the Decepticons have a big advantage as they can just crush the Jan and his friends if the Autobots even move forward. And after realising this, every member of the Dinoforce opens fire on the two Autobots.
But Jan isn't about go give up and fires off a few smoke bombs which send all of the Dinoforce into a mad scramble of confusion, and as they wildly run around, Jan gets his mecha back up and has it transform into it's car mode, leaving the Dinoforce behind and regrouping with Star Saber and Victory Leo.
Star Saber and Victory Leo unite so the Dinoforce do the same, transforming into Dinoking. Before they start to battle, Dinoking shows off his new weapon, the Dinoblaster cannon, and then starts firing, but even this new gun doesn't have the power to destroy Victory Saber who is soon cutting the Decepticon gestalt down to size.
Dinoking is soon defeated and forced to separate. Victory Saber walks over to finish them all off when Goryu suddenly throws himself forward and begs him to let the rest of his team go and he can kill him instead. The rest of the Dinoforce then tell Victory Saber to let their leader go instead and that they'll try and hold him off for a few minutes, but Victory Saber turns his back on them all and lets Goryu
know that he has been blessed with good troops.

Later on the Dinoforce are gone and Victory Saber explains to Mabel that he and the other Autobots will take care of rebuilding the damaged areas of the school. And outside Illumina says she thought Jan looked cool fighting the Decepticons, but he's got a surprise for her as he's actually named his mecha after her, the "Illumina II", so it's happy days all round.
It's suppose to be a heart-warming ending scene when Jan reveals the name of his mecha but instead it's a scene of ABSOLUTE HILARITY because the animators called it "Irumina II"! LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL
And then of course the English dub version of this scene makes no sense either, because Illumina is called "Mila" in the dub. And the dubbers didn't bother trying to cover anything up - "Mekon" (Jan's dub name) says he's named the mecha after Mila, and then shows her the "Irumina II" part of it. Oooook.
Finally, this episode marks the first appearance of Waver in robot mode.
