The Resurrection of the Decepticon Fortress?!
| |
As they said at the end of the previous episode, Star Saber's group of Autobots are leaving planet Micro and heading back to Earth. Inside Galaxy Shuttle the Rescue team and Jan are looking back at the planet they are leaving behind and everyone starts to tear Holi about the fact that he's had to leave Clipper once again, but he tells them all to shut up.

Deszaras is also in space and is with the Dinoforce on the Thunder Arrow, heading towards the dark nebula. They have bought along some energon to test something out and as they enter the nebula everyone sees Deszaras' space fortress, which was deactivated by Star Saber some time a go. Deszaras uses the energy that they've bought along to charge up the fortress.
As the energy powers up the fortress Deszaras smiles and the Dinoforce celebrate as everything begins to come back online... only for all the lights to dim down again after a few seconds. But Deszaras tells the others that he was merely testing to see if the fortress could be bought back and that a lot more energy will be required to make it fully operational again. He's like to do that as soon as possible, and use it to destroy the Autobots, as they were the ones who put the fortress here in the first place....
thanks to Star Saber.

Years ago, Deszaras was to be the next Decepticon Emperor of Destruction and had a massive space fortress created for him which he planned to use to aid him in his quest to rule the universe. But an Autobot commander called Star Saber found out about this and led a large team of Autobots to the fortress where a massive battle was fought. Star Saber and Deszaras clashed for the first time...
...but suddenly, Star Saber and all of the Autobots retreat. Thinking him to be a coward Deszaras tries to kill Star Saber but he gets away with the others into space and presses a button. As they were fighting, several Autobots planted lots of booster engines into the fortress and they are activated, sucking the fortress dry of energy and moving it...
...and there is nothing the Decepticons can do. With no power the fortress is moved into a dark nebula and Deszaras is left promising to destroy Star Saber with his bare hands one day as his fortress is sealed away.
Just thinking about the story of his fortress angers Deszaras who says that he crush Star Saber and bring back his fortress soon enough. But then a report comes in saying that two Autobots are near and Star Saber is one of them! And with this knowledge Deszaras pilots the Thunder Arrow out and goes straight on the attack.
Deszaras wastes no time in leaving his own ship to fight Star Saber, and the other Autobots on Galaxy Shuttle can't help him as they've got the Dinoforce piloted Thunder Arrow to deal with.
Unfortunately the Thunder Arrow is a much bigger ship than Galaxy Shuttle and the Dinoforce use something called an energy tube to link the two ships. And not only does that mean that they can get from one ship to another quickly but the tub also sucks all of the power from Galaxy Shuttle. Meanwhile Deszaras is winning the battle against his arch enemy by using his two Brest animals and then tries to slice his opponent into two pieces.

As the dopey Dinoforce charge towards the Autobots, they are stopped when the Rescue team throw various objects at them, and then are all blasted back to the Thunder Arrow thanks to Fire transforming and hitting them with a full powered water spray. So Goryu sends over a bomb to just destroy the Autobots outright instead.
With no other option Jan goes outside and uses Galaxy Shuttle's control arms to get a piece of metal rope and start to tie it around the energy tune. The Dinoforce see what he is trying to do and attempt to speed the bomb up on it's journey as Deszaras continues to dominate the fight between him and Star Saber and gets ready to finish him off with his metal destroying cannon.
Jan uses the arms to close off the tube just before the bomb reaches Galaxy Shuttle. This comes as joy to them but despair to the Decepticons as the bomb starts to go back the way it came! They panic and act too late as the bomb reaches and bounces around inside the Thunder Arrow before blasting out the side of the ship. Why didn't it go off?
Kakuryu forgot to put the ignition plug in. Whoops!

The Rescue team's celebration doesn't last for long though as they are shot down by Deszaras. He then tells Star Saber that he will succeed where past Decepticon leaders have failed and is about to kill him for good but he can't fire his cannon, or even draw his sword, as he has wasted too much of his energy testing the fortress and fighting the Autobots.

Seeing how he's battered his for enough for now anyway Deszaras says that they will be back and that they will conquer the Earth, and then flies off to return to the Thunder Arrow. A heavily injured Star Saber thinks to himself how he cannot underestimate Deszaras' power as an equally heavily damaged Galaxy Shuttle returns with the others as the narrator says that this is far from the final fight.
This is the episode which finally reveals what the story is with the Decepticon fortress and how it was sealed away in the first place. No exact date to when it happened is given other than a vague "few years a go".
This is also the first episode Deszaras uses his "metal destroying cannon" a highly powerful weapon which he'll use to great effect on a certain Autobot later on in the series...
