The Death of Ginrai!!
Deszaras and the Decepticons are all
very happy, because they can now do what they want and get away with it since both Star Saber and God Ginrai, the Autobot's two most powerful warriors, are badly injured. They take over a solar base and destroy the pitiful human resistance which tries to stop them with tanks, and soon they are in control of the area.
As the Autobots find out about the solar base attack, Dashtacker and Machtackle report in from America saying that they have found and are fighting the Dinoforce. The Decepticons are attacking multiple places at once knowing that the Autobots can't stop them now that so many of them are injured, but Star Saber refuses to give up and heads to the solar base with Laster and Braver.
Wingwaver, Holi, Fire, Pipo and Jan are about to go to America to help Dashtacker and Machtackle but Blacker appears and says that he can't believe that Star Saber has gone out in his condition. And even though he has only just recovered from his injuries, he says that he is fit enough to help them and soon they are onboard Galaxy Shuttle which blasts off.
Inside the Shuttle base, God Ginrai is in medical's intensive care unit, where he knows that he is done for. He thinks back to the time when Star Saber had come to see him as he had been offered the position of supreme commander -in other words, he would become the new Autobot leader. Star Saber asks Ginrai if he would continue to help him if he became leader, which he tells him he would, so Star Saber goes off to accept the position.
The Dinoforce have collected a lot of energy when they see the Autobots, and as they jump out of Galaxy Shuttle to attack, Blacker doesn't transform correctly and crashes into the ground, but he tells the others to go on and attack the Decepticons, who are all standing in line firing away.
The other Decepticons have also made lots of energy and think about how they can leave dealing with Star Saber until they have collected as much as they need. Just then Star Saber, Braver and Laster arrive and transform, but Star Saber is so weak that he can't even stand as only a few of the Decepticons are arrive to fight them.
Back at Shuttle base, Perceptor, Minerva and Wheeljack, three of the Autobot's most talented scientists and doctors, have been called from the Autobot/Decepticon war in deep space to try and save God Ginrai, but even they cannot repair his body. Although his mind is fine, his body is not and he will die, but Perceptor has another idea to bring him back to life, only for God Ginrai not to be interested at first. The three Autobot medics go back to a computer and print off some data.
God Ginrai then changes his mind about it and asks Perceptor for more information, but he refuses to speak about his idea saying that it was a stupid thought he had. But God Ginrai keeps pressing on for more details and whilst Perceptor won't reveal any more, Wheeljack will and goes up to him to say that their idea involves a reconstruction design of God Ginrai.
At the solar base, Star Saber is back up but the Autobots are outnumbered and soon all of the Decepticons there gang up on them, making sure to batter Star Saber as much as possible so that he'll think twice in challenging them again in his condition.
Meanwhile Perceptor silences Wheeljack and says that their idea was a foolish one just as Jan comes to the room, saying that Star Saber is in danger of being killed. They see how badly the Autobots at the solar base are doing and God Ginrai then tells Perceptor to do exactly what he says.
Star Saber then gets contacted by Jan who tells him that God Ginrai wants to see him immediately. Believing that his friend must be close to death and that he wants to see him for one last time, Star Saber leaves Laster and Braver behind to try and fight the Decepticons. He gets back to Shuttle base where God Ginrai tells him that whilst he can still talk, he can never move with this body again. But instead, he wants to let Perceptor and the others reconstruct him into a power-up for Star Saber.
Star Saber is furious that Perceptor and the others told him about such a dangerous operation but God Ginrai asks him not to be angry as he forced the information out of them. His decision is firm, he will die and be reborn as a new robot and and asks Perceptor to show them on a screen what his new body will look like.
The new body is a triple changing robot with a lion and space fighter mode, and it can also combine with Star Saber to make him more powerful. But even then Star Saber says he won't allow it, but God Ginrai says that he wants to go on to help the Autobots and Perceptor says that if they do not start this operation soon then his condition will only get worse and worse as time goes on.
Meanwhile the Dinoforce collect all of the energy they've stolen and withdraw with it. With everyone else damaged in the battle, only Wingwaver and Holi are left to try and stop them but as they do Wingwaver has to stop as he's too injured to go on as well. Holi looks around him to see that all of the Autobots are hurt in someway.
Back at the Shuttle base, Star Saber has changed his mind and has let the operation go ahead. As he tells God Ginrai that his death will not be in vain he goes on to say that he'll never forget him. Perceptor sets everything up and is ready to start as the other Autobots return and run into the room to see what is going on.
Minerva is forced to move a crying Jan away as God Ginrai is moved downwards and the operation begins. The other Autobots can only watch as Perceptor, Wheeljack and Minerva work away quickly at their computers, as they've only got one minute until God Ginrai dies.
The other Autobots act in shock to what Perceptor has just said as his team continue to work away. He goes on to tell the others that a new lifeform with God Ginrai's operational functions will be born and that this stage is the most critical. As it ends the other Autobots crowd around God Ginrai, but the God Ginrai that they knew is now dead.
Yes, I know what everyone is thinking. Well I've had my response ready for months now:
Despite being killed off in the movie, which takes place in the year 2006, Wheeljack is back in
Victory, which takes place in 2025. The real reason for why he is here was because Japan had still not had the movie in their country yet - it was released in 1989, which was the same year
Victory was made, but it came out after the series was produced. I still think this is wrong though as you would have thought someone in Japan who worked for Takara would have seen it to see what happens and who died, but obviously not. So there you go - Wheeljack is back in Transformers.
Wheeljack's shoulder cannon is often mis-coloured red in this episode.
Oh, and Perceptor is back as well, he hasn't been seen since the third season of Transformers.
Both Perceptor and Wheeljack have different voice actors than they originally had for the Japanese dubs of the American seasons.
