The rifle had a different display at one point. You see the stuff under the number 60? It's different from the final.
Again, and where's Chief here anyway?
Again, plus the Warthog is different and so is the top left corner of the HUD.
Completely different sniper scope.
Yeah I remember this being in the game wait what
Again, it's Mr. Mini-Gun Man.
This looks like it was taken when Halo was an RTS. Mr. Mini-Gun Man is back yet again, and the Scorpion tanks are way different to the final.
Different rocket launcher. Plus this place is no where to be seen in the game.

A human soldier fighting the Covenant version of the Scorpion, in third person.
Covenant about to get owned. They all have different guns, you can't get them in the final game. Look at the Warthog, it has a different design, especially the tyres.
Another unusual Covenant.
All action and/or excitement. Beta Spartans, Warthogs (with chunky Virtua Racing style wheels) and Scorpions.
Again, different Chiefs and Warthogs.

Unknown location, different characters again.

Third person action starts here.
Again, and how come he gets to use a Flame Thrower? This was in the Xbox section for the game at IGN you know.
I believe this is taken from the mission where you save Keyes. Thing is, in the final the level is set at pitch black night time.
Pinched from Wikipedia, this is a gameplay screenshot from it's early incarnation as an RTS. Note the wacky Scorpions with Boba Fett's colour scheme.
This came from an issue of Computer & Video Games, this shows a different Spartan and Covenant, but the Spartan is wielding a katana! Plus, I don't think the Covenant is that colour in the game.
Acquired from a German magazine scan someplace, this has more of the different Spartan and Covenants, and third person action.
Bungie released a PC version in 2003, the biggest differences being that there was net play, but no co-op mode.

See that little man icon next to the life bar? It's different from the final.
I find it strange that this was in IGN's PC version screens page...it's put with a load of other screenshots which I've already put in this article though.
What's interesting is that either a side passenger is firing, or the driver of the tank is firing while the tank he's driving is doing the same. Or something.
Halo was originally going to appear on the MAC first. This is the earliest video available.

This video (MacWorld '99) shows some quite weird things that were never in the final game. Aside from the usual stuff (all the characters look different etc) the best thing is the hand signals. At the near start of the video, Chief waves to some Covenant (picture 1), then runs outside the complex. They follow him, but it's a trap as Chief hand signals again to another Spartan (picture 2) to get into the Warthog. Picture 3 shows part of the short battle between a Hog and 2 Ghosts. Picture 4 shows Chief doing an "attack" hand sign.

| AW NO IT'S THE NARCS MAN | YOU'RE BUSTED |
Make an enemy surrender! Chief just casually runs up to him, points a handgun at is head and he surrenders. That really should have been in the final game.

At the end of the video a Spartan waves this Bungie flag around.
