Metroid Zero Mission

Again, stolen from IGN.

On the left is early footage of the game; on the right is the final revision. For starters, the background is repositioned between the two, and the ground on the left slopes down in the early screenshot, but stays straight in the final. The more subtle changes include the map being different (it's pink in the screenshot, and doesn't show the greyed areas; while the final has a blue map, shows the greyed areas, but doesn't show the little passage at the top), a little Samus head added above the health number, and Samus's sprite is different between the two! Not much of a change, just the proportions altered a little and some shading fiddled with. The ceiling on the right is also a touch different between the two.

Now this is entirely different from the final, not just the HUD difference. Kraid looks very cartoony there, with bright colours and all, and the battle seems to take place in a lava filled cave with floating rocks. I can't describe much more, so someone get a screenshot of this area plz.

HUD difference, but Samus has both missiles and super missiles here. I'm serious, I can barely play the game without taking an hour to get anywhere, so get screenshots so I can compare them more easily. =(

[UPDATE] Techokami, webmaster of the Metroid Fan Mission, claims that this area was cut, and all enemies were removed from the surface areas.

The worm boss is pretty different. Firstly, it's brighter, has a pink pupil, it's orange bits are more visible, the horn things are shorter and don't have the three smaller spikes, and it's got these weird dribbly bits underneath it's eye. The parts that cover the sides only have one spike, and the ring (?) thing on them are less prominent.

The arena is darker and murkier in the final, the pillar is broken, and the rock is like a pile of rings instead of the random design of real rocks.

Techokami claims this area was also cut, and the space pirates were moved to the Mothership.
