Star Wars: Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike

Factor 5's Rebel Strike received mixed reviews when it was released. Here are some oddities found from earlier screen shots, although it's nothing that interesting.

It could be possible that the Sarlacc pit mission was originally suppose to be much bigger, and could have been more than just playing as Luke. The above image never appears in the game.

A possible other deleted cut scene, you never get a close up of these fatty guards in the final game.

I'm trying to work out where Luke is in this shot, exactly. Since the HUD and everything is still there, it's not a cut scene or anything like that. No camera angle like this is in the final version, anyway.

What's odd here is the fact that the orders cross in the top left corner is there, it isn't in the final. Also, the blaster charge is in the bottom right, again, it isn't in the final. This is from the Death Star Escape mission by the way.

You can never get an angle like this when you use your grapple cable to reach up to the AT-AT. It's possible this was some kind of cut-scene that never made it into the final game.

MAKE MY DINNER BITCH
Despite the poor quality of this shot of the Speed bike pursuit level, you can see the orders cross in the top left again. Was it possible that you could order Leia around at one point?

In the video showing this, sometimes in the top left corner some text appears. I think it says "Shown target on right", not completely sure though. Get the video from this page.

This scene never appears in the final game at all.

This was from a trailer which is on Lucasart's site for the game. The problem here is that this scene where Luke crashes his Snow Speeder after being hit is rendered with the game engine, in the final version they just use film footage instead. Same deal with Luke jumping away when the AT-AT stomps on his speeder.

From the last part of the Battlefield Hoth level, I think that this screen shot is slightly wrong. Whilst in the final version of the game, this part of the stage still gets crowded with lots of TIEs, they never all stare at you like that and fly towards you at the same time. There just seems to be to many here, try watching this video to see what I mean. Also, there's a distinct lack of TIE Bombers anywhere in this image.

No HUD, the Rebel transports are missing and again there are no TIE Bombers anywhere.

This is from the start of the second part of the Relics of Geonosis mission. In the final version, an extra escape pod can be seen in the background. Also, Wedge has a whopping ten thermal detonators here, in the final, you are only given three. The escape pod in the shot above is also missing a black smoke plume. Also, the X-Wing wreckage you can see in the bottom left looks a little different from the final version, I think.

This could be a different versions of the cut-scene where you get onto the Taun-Taun in the Battlefield Hoth mission. Nothing like this is in the final game however.

Taken from the game's first trailer, what's odd here is that the command cross is in the top right corner for this part of the mission, and the possible commands are pretty weird. For a start, there's an option for TIEs, but there aren't any, you are fighting AT-ATs and the like. There's also commands for forming and staying, but your squadron are all in speeders, and not on foot like you.

This animation shows Luke cutting open an AT-AT with his lightsaber, but this looks like more of a cut scene and is not in the final game. This can also be found in the first trailer.
