Street Figher II: Champion Edition (EARLY EDITION =0 =0 )
Written by Galvatron.
Street Fighter II was a popular game that you probably played back in the early '90s to be cool. Nintendo got a version for their machine first, and made a special licence so that it would only appear on their console. But Capcom were secretly lying to them and were at work on many other versions. The Mega Drive version was to be a port of Street Fighter II Champion Edition at first, but then became a completely different game, cramming Champion Edition and Hyper Fighting into one cartridge.
Work was started on Champion Edition though. Below are screenshots from SEGA Power issue 43, which was the first magazine to show screenshots of the game.
The biggest difference with this version is the black border at the top which houses the life bars, scores and so on. This was removed entirely from the final game. The stage is also different, in terms of colours.

All the images here and below share the aforementioned problems.
Somewhat famously, Blanka was mis-spelt "Branka" in this preview. You know how people get their Rs and Ls confused.
Ryu's fireball looks different here than in the final game.
In almost every screenshot, the characters are always in their second colours. But Ken's in his usual here. Just thought I'd point that out.
The images below are from Andy's dead Street Fighter Legends site. They seem to be pictures taken from the same version the SEGA Power team got to preview.

Blanka is still spelt wrong here.

Border problem.

But wait, this screenshot is really odd. Compare it to the one from the SEGA Power preview to see the differences. There are no life bars, plus the barrel counter in the top middle is still at 20, even though barrels are already on screen.
BONSU!!!!*

This asshole stars in not one but two whopping videos advertising
some SF2 games. All he does is point at you and go "STRET FUGHTER
