Super Mario 64 DS
Taken from GameSpot and IGN.

Yep, if you can make sense of that hodgepodge of screenshots, Super Mario 64 DS (originally known as Super Mario 64 4x4, and Super Mario 64x4, both were stupid names) once had a multi-player that wasn't a silly mini-game thing. It took eight years for another version of Super Mario 64 to come out, and one of Miyamoto's intentions, multi-player, wasn't even incorporated properly. WE DON'T WANT MINI-GAMES. WE WANT TO PLAY THE WHOLE FRIGGIN' GAME WITH OUR FRIENDS.
And yeah, apparently all the characters had the same abilities, what with all the characters flying there and all. That would've been fun. BUT NO. WE HAD TO GET A MINI-GAME THING.
And that arena they're fighting Bowser in seems odd. I doubt it's in the game. I CAN'T STOP RANTING ABOUT THE MULTI-PLAYER THING IN ALL CAPS >=(
The removal of that multi-player made me not even bother getting the game. Thanks a-plenty, Nintendo. =(
However, there is a slight consolation to this loss: This video were absolutely nothing happens. But hey, nice to see they got video footage of it and not just screenshots.
[UPDATE] Having just contradicted myself and got the game, I am now aware that not only is it balls, but the maps and HUDs are different, slight changes in areas, and so on. But, yeah, the real frustration is the removal of good multi-player.
