[Q] What's the dealio with the name?

I have a fascination with terms that are just another way of saying "miscellaneous stuff". You'll see that fascination just about everywhere on my sites, with Other Jibba Jabba, Additional Impedimenta, and so on.

I suppose it's also a jab at all those "artistically named" sites, made-up examples being Broken Starlight or Rippling Wind or whatever the hell.

[Q] Your third personal site?

Uh huh. Years ago I had a crappy Geocities one with absolutely no content whatsoever; it was abandoned in two weeks. Then sometime in 2002, I made an art site on Tripod. It lasted a year before I royally screwed up, wiped out the art and gave up on it.

[Q] Just what is Random Hoo Haas specifically; a sprite site? A humour site?

Anything, really. I don't necessarily focus on writing funnies, nor do I intend to focus everything on sprites; it's just whatever I feel like putting up, even if a lot of the stuff is rather embarrassing and ends up getting forewords along the lines of "DO NOT READ" later on.

[Q] Why don't you make thumbnails for the sprites section, and cut down on the chatter?

Because making that section the most drab part of the site is intentional. :]

[Q] What's up with Motorbike Man?

Just a silly cartoon involving action figures that then became one of the more popular parts of the site before sprites and cartoon coverage kind of became the norm. Which is a shame, in my view, with originality being shunned by what's hip, but not much I can do about that!

[Q] And DJ Sam??

It's a computer-generated voice rapping about crap, and it's in the Stupid Stuff section. What more is there to say?

And I love how DJ Sam has a few short songs on an out-of-the-way part of the site and I felt the need to give it it's very own question in the FAQ.

[Q] Is your art anime?

I'd like to say no, but yeah I suppose it is. Not even how many disproportional limbs and missing necks I throw in, my more serious stuff more or less is inspired by it.

[Q] I can't understand a word of your movies!

I've been wanting to make subtitles for them, but I simply never do.

Pick up Divx and a few other video codecs and see if that changes anything.
