Motorbike Man - Make your own episode
Making a Motorbike Man episode isn't a terribly hard procedure. It's pretty simple, really, so why not share these really simple facts so you can copy it?
STEP 1 - PLANNING
The first part doesn't require much. Get a single idea, like "heroes fight giants", or "baddie steals Christmas", and then just make everything else up as you pick your action figures and locations.
STEP 2 - SHOOTING
Get figures posed, takes photos, and continue. It's almost like taking photos for a comic that's actually a video, or making an episode of The Magic Roundabout with much less animation, if that's even possible.
STEP 3 - COMPUTERING
Get them photos/videos on your computer, and edit them if necessary. Get some simple slideshow thing, like Microsoft PowerPoint, and set the structure.
STEP 4 - WRITING
Now that they're in order, write dialogue. Basic stuff, so you can adlib it along the way.
Now here's where things split up. You can make it so all the sounds are down by your vocal talents (Step 5a), or you can get proper sounds and music (step 5b). The first way is easiest to time with the video, while the second method has a less amateur feel, usually.
STEP 5a - RECORDING
Now that it's all in order, get yourself a microphone and some screen recording software (unless your slideshow thing can record itself or something), window your slideshow, make sure you can scroll through slides yourself, and when you're ready, start recording. This can be a clumsy method, as if you flub badly, you'll need to start recording from the beginning, but it generally keeps things choreographed well.
Episodes 1 and 4 were done with this method.
STEP 5b - SOUND AND VOICING
Get voice, sound, music, whatever you want, and compile it all. In this state, it's sort of like a radio drama, minus the narrator. This way is handy, because you can fine-tune the audio before combining it with the video, with SPECIAL EFFECTS and if you don't like how something came out, you can record it again.
Then, open the slideshow, start the audio, and record. Time the video with the sounds. This can take a few times, but it's generally less frustrating than having to say the same things every time you start over.
Episodes 2, 3, and 5 were done with this method.
And either way, you're done! Congratulations, you ripped me off! Feel proud of yourself.
