Shinobi: The Dark Circle

Unlike the Super Mario Adventures scans, these are actually mine. No complications as to whether or not I deserve them now! =D

So, here we have a short, nine page comic based off the Shinobi series of games, based around our awesome ninja hero, Joe Musashi. It's hard to say where I got it from, as it came from a book known as "The Official Sonic the Hedgehog Yearbook". What complicates matters is that I have another book that has the exact same title, same year of release, and same publisher; hell, even their contents pages look the same! To be honest, really about the only way to quickly tell them apart is from the cover and that the one with the Shinobi comic has a Mega/SEGA CD competition. They're both pretty good books, with entertaining stories, some decent screenshots of Sonic 2 beta, and other cool things.

But enough about that, we're here to see the comic. I think it may be part of a series from the Fleetway Sonic comics, but I don't own any parts of the story, if there were any more, so I'm not definite. It's got some nice artwork, and a great atmosphere with accompanying narrative, although there's some humourous licenses taken with the games; for example, Musashi vows never to kill an enemy at the end of the comic (omg spoilar), yet in the games, he doesn't give a second thought for exploding robots, ninjas, dogs, mountain lions, and Godzillas around him.

And before I shut up, I apologise for my sloppy scanning, which blurs some of the text to nigh-unreadable, and everything is all tilted and such. This problem isn't there in a CDisplay version of the whole book you can download, which is better suited for reading and accessing, but hey man I spent an hour scanning these. :{

I'll shut up now.
