The first beta does not use much music at all -there are only 16 tracks in the sound test, and one of those doesn't even work. The music that is there is mostly all used in the final version of the game, but most of it sounds a little different and also the names of the tracks are often different. Titles in brackets indicate what the tune in the beta is called in the final.
MUSIC
001: He Runs
This tune is considerably longer than the version used in the final game, and it also the tune used the most in this beta.
002: Ninja soul
This tune is also used a lot in this beta, and sounds pretty much the same as in the final version.
003: Boss! Boss! (Shadows)
This version of the tune is quite different to the final game's version, but I don't like it as much.
004:
Hassou!! (Hassou!)
This isn't used in the beta at all, but it is in the final. However, it goes on for quite a bit longer in this beta, I'm glad they cut it down though.
005: Inner Darkside
This tune seemed to be unmodified for the final game.
006: ???
This one won't play at all.
007: Shinobi walk
This tune was slightly changed in terms of the instruments used for the back beat in the final game.
008: Rush © beat me (Rush and beat)
Like the tune above, this one has slightly different instruments used from the final version in certain parts.
009: Map da! (Storm wind)
This wasn't changed at all for the final.
010: Round clear
Nor was this.
011: Ninja lulubay (Wabi)
Or this, but they managed to spell lullaby wrong though.
012: Sakura (Sabi)
This is the music played for when Joe dies...in the final version. It isn't used at all in this beta.
013: Yayoi
This is an interesting one because not only is it not used in the beta, it never made it into the final version either! I'm not sure where it was planned to be played as it just doesn't seem to be the kind of tune that would play during a level to me.
014: Ju Goya
This music is actually played during some levels in the beta, in the final it only plays at the continue screen.
015: The end (Sakura)
This is used in the final version but it sounds slightly different.
